[0:00] Seeking the Lord's leading and guidance. We shall look again at the portion of scripture that was read.
[0:11] The epistle of Paul to the Ephesians chapter 2 and at verse 20. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets.
[0:34] Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. In whom all the buildings fitly framed together.
[0:46] Groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord. In whom ye also are builded together. For an habitation of God through the spirit.
[1:02] And we shall seek to consider two points.
[1:16] Firstly God's house or God's building. And secondly Christ's relationship to it.
[1:32] We must always remember. That the foundation doctrine of scripture.
[1:43] Is the person of Christ. Two buildings spring to mind.
[2:03] With regard to Paul at this time. There were two special buildings. That spring to mind.
[2:16] He is writing here to the Ephesians. And at Ephesus. And at Ephesus. Stood. One of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
[2:33] The great temple of Artemis or Diana. But it was a place of idolatry.
[2:47] There was no true God there. It was a place of idolatry.
[2:58] Where the most sordid rights. Were practiced in the name of religion. But there was another building.
[3:14] There was also. The great temple at Jerusalem. Unique among all the temples.
[3:27] At that time. For the worship. Of the one true God. It was a magnificent spectacle.
[3:41] This temple of Jehovah. On Mount Zion. The awe. The awe. And the grandeur. Of its worship.
[3:53] Had down the ages. Captivated the hearts. Of the Jews. And drawn them to it. Yes. And many proselytes beside.
[4:07] And to that place. The tribes go up. The tribes of God. Go thither. But.
[4:18] Paul is concerned here. With. An infinitely greater. And grander building.
[4:31] In fact. The architecture. He has in mind. Is. A spiritual. And a heavenly architecture.
[4:43] His theme here. Is. God's. God's. God's. Very. Masterpiece. The church. Glorious.
[4:55] That is. The whole. Number. Of the saints. In all. The ages. Of the world's. History. The mystical.
[5:07] Body. Of which. Christ. Is the head. God. We remember. That in the first. Creation. God.
[5:19] Was the. Architect. In building. Woman. Man. Was created.
[5:30] Woman. Was built. God. Was the. Architect. In building. Woman. Out of the. Side. Of.
[5:41] The first. Adam. Who was under. A deep sleep. But. In the new. Creation. God.

[40:19] Isn't that a beautiful verse? He giveth to his beloved in their sleep. And in the land of Beulah, where there was any special affinity with the eternal land of promise, it was noticed that the pilgrims were praying more in their sleep.
[40:56] And the power of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep, that is, shall garrison your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
[41:13] He is also the indweller of this house. He is building a house for himself. And he is not merely a king, but he is the king of all kings and the lord of all lords.
[41:32] So it must be an habitation worthy of himself. Why then do we complain as the lord takes us in hand to make us fit for his own use?
[41:51] He dwells in this house by his spirit. Believers are the temples of the Holy Ghost. They form with Christ one mystical body, one indivisible mystical body.
[42:12] And Christ also dwells in them by his grace. And we haven't got more time to dwell on that.
[42:23] He also dwells in them by his ordinances, where two or three are gathered together in my name. There am I in the midst of them.
[42:37] And he has joyous communion with them. He subs with them. When they are faithful and fruitful, he is marvelously refreshed.
[42:54] He is the chiefest partaker at every spiritual feast. Oh, that we would remember this. He is the chiefest partaker at every spiritual feast.
[43:11] The church invites, in the song, she invites the north wind and the south wind to blow upon her garden in order to disseminate fragrance.
[43:31] And she calls her garden because she is spiritual. She calls her garden his garden. and she calls her fruits his fruits.
[43:45] And as a consequence, the king is held in the galleries. That is, he is detained at that type of spiritual feast.
[43:57] Christ loves to partake of our spiritual feast. Christ loves and oh, something infinitely more wonderful he subs with them.
[44:15] But something infinitely more wonderful they sub with him. How bounteous his entertainment.
[44:25] Amen. He provides love which causes love sickness among the shadows. He provides love which causes love sickness among the shadows.
[44:46] He sheds love abroad in our hearts. He pours it out abundantly. how joyous a spiritual dainty is this love.
